Welcome to our blog. We're twelve girls documenting our adventures in #yxe. Hope you have a nice stay!

Erin tied the knot!

Hello OCM readers! Erin here. So... it's been a little over two months since me and my man got hitched. It's been a daze of a summer for us, and I realized I am a little behind on sharing a look at our big day. It was to say the least, one of the best day of my life. As it should be right?

For as long as I can remember, I've always said I'm "not a wedding person". I wasn't the little girl dreaming about her wedding or dressing up and playing bride. But after spending a year planning every detail of my wedding, -- ie, becoming completely addicted to Pinterest, securing my dream location, obsessing over colour schemes and endless decor inspiration, spending every spare second of my life DIY-ing, and finally having the big day come & gone, and I can now say, I AM TOTALLY A WEDDING PERSON!

Not that I wasn't head over heels excited to marry my fiance (Because I was!!) - I have just never been a big planner, and the thought of planning an event - the biggest party of my life - sounded like a daunting & exhausting task. But as I got started, I as quickly came the realization of what I wanted my wedding day to be. FUN, BOHEMIAN, ROMANTIC, & MEMORABLE. With lots of help (wine) & hard work everything came together pretty seamlessly. From the perfect June weather, amazing wedding party, flawless Saskatchewan forest location, my incredible custom Laurie Brown wedding gown (like seriously, I've never worn anything better and most likely never will)... I wouldn't have changed a single detail. Being the visual person I am, I won't make you read much more about my day - instead, here is a wedding day recap in photographs, by my fabulous (and I mean, like totally 100% amazing) friends & wedding photographers, Matt & Julie of MJ&CO!

ENJOY, xoxo
