I have always been curious about meditation and wondered if it would be something I could start to implement into my daily routine. As a busy mom and running my own business, I find taking time to unplug and to really relax is a hard thing to do. My good friend Kristen and I always have the most amazing chats and when I found out her & Danica were teaching meditation and Kristen shared with me the benefits she has experienced from meditation, I was instantly intrigued and knew that I had to try it out too!
I reached out to Kristen and Danica, two of the most beautiful women inside and out to see if they could host a meditation session in our studio and was thrilled to find out they would! I chatted with my fellow OCM girls and was happy to have some of the ladies available to experience mediation with me as most of us are beginners. The day of our mediation Danica and Kristen came to set up in the studio with calming music, incense and the most comfortable low back chairs for relaxing into. They both have the most calming energy and after rushing around to get my kids organized and things settled at home, I felt instantly at ease. After we were all comfortable and relaxed in our spots, Kristen and Danica started to share their stories and the benefits that meditation has had on both of their lives. They were vulnerable and open with us and not only shared the emotional benefits but also the science behind meditation and the impact it has on our bodies and mind.
After hearing all the amazing benefits from meditation and learning to be mindful in our daily lives, Kristen and Danica guided us with the most calming voices through the most relaxing meditation. Its true learning to breathe and be calm and still in the quiet has the most amazing effect on your body and mind. I think all of us ladies might have been able to enjoy the quiet and calm most of the afternoon!

"I have never meditated and wasn't sure what all went into it, but have heard from so many people how beneficial it is for your health. I went into the afternoon with Danica and Kristen with no expectations. I loved hearing about the scientific evidence behind how meditation is beneficial to you long term and how staying calm and centred is good for you body as a great coping mechanism. I have a very stressful career (apparently one of the ten most stressful if you can believe it) and so I can definitely see how meditation could benefit me. I like to set my alarm early and wake up before the kids and I can see how starting my day calm, instead of frazzled is a great way to start your day. Even five minutes when you wake up and go to bed is all you need. I am planning my own little meditation corner and can't wait to get started! - Molly
