detox tumeric latte

After battling a migraine and cold all week, I wanted to share my favourite detoxing & healing recipe for creamy turmeric latte! This recipe helps boost immunity, speeds up your metabolism, wards off nausea and tummy troubles, as well as detoxing the liver. I'll also share the recipe for one of my favourite homemade soups, also sure to boost your liquid intake and get you feeling better fast. Enjoy!

 

Creamy Tumeric Latte

1 cup boiled water

1 cup steamed coconut milk

1 ginger tea bag

1/2 tsp fresh grated ginger

1 tsp turmeric powder

1/2 tsp cinnamon

1/4 tsp cayenne pepper

1/4 tsp black pepper

1/2 tsp vanilla extract

1 tsp raw honey

Mix and steep for 10 minutes. I like it spicy & savory so I add more ginger and cayenne.

Roaster Carrot Coconut and Ginger Soup

3lbs carrots

1/4 an onion

5-6 cloves garlic

Olive oil

Salt and pepper

1 tbsp grated ginger

1 tbsp turmeric

1 tsp coriander powder

1 tsp all spice

1/2 tsp cayenne pepper

5 cups organic vegetable broth

1 can organic coconut milk

On a large baking sheet with parchment paper, lay chopped carrots, onions, and garlic cloves. Drizzle with a generous amount of olive oil and salt and pepper to taste.

Roast at 425 for 45 minutes until roasted, soft, and caramelized.

Once roasted. Cool to the touch and blend in a large food processor with 3 cups of the vegetable broth and grated ginger.

Transfer into large pot on the stove, over medium heat add in remaining broth, can of coconut milk, and spices. Simmer on low for 30 minutes.

Wa-La! The most perfect fall soup.
