With having a baby comes the inevitable teething phase and there's no getting away from it. Every baby is different and I've had some good luck in that my little one doesn't get too crabby but he for sure turned into a drool monster and loves to chew anything.
Read on and I'll share some of the things that worked with my babes who is one now!
A teething baby isn't sometimes fun but there are a few tricks of the trade to help sooth these fussy babies.
Any sort of teether will work for your baby to chew on. There are various frozen brands, silicone brands such as the ones show in these photos by Otherware. (Available online) Every baby is different so you'll have to experiment with a few!
There is no shortage of teething remedies on the market so sometimes... like anything.... you have to try a few to see what works. We've had success with Camilia Teething drops which have no sugar, no dye and no preservatives. Or sometimes if things get really bad.... Good old Tylenol works like a charm.
Advent makes a good sippy cup that has a great nipple for chewing... So toss some cold water into the cup and they have a good time chewing this cup.
When all else fails sometimes babies just want to be held and coddled. My baby likes to cuddle and chew on his muslin blankies when those teeth are popping so you'll know as a mom what your baby needs. Trust your mommy gut. ;-)
Hope these suggestions help when the time comes for you and your little teething one!
