All About That Swag
I've written before of my love for Move N Soar's baby and toddler classes so you can imagine I was sad for my 11-week session to wind down. Luckily, the blow was softened with a sweet swag bag. I thought I'd share the fun of opening said swag bag with you because these goodie bags for mommies (and daddies) are now a thing when you complete a session... and who doesn't love free stuff? So though the April 4- June 26 session's bag won't be a carbon copy (and they're age-appropriate, I got the 'baby' one), it'll give you an idea of what to expect. Here's a peek at the goodies I got!
Your Move N Soar session may have been Zumbini but trust that you should try Music Together, too. And you don't have to take my word for it: there's a sampler cd and a free song download of the opening-of-class song that will have your little one wanting more.
Petra was delighted to see these in the bag. Nutritious and organic, Love Child Love Ducks mini crackers are free of GMOs, nuts, gluten, and have no added salt or sugar. In fact, the ingredients are simply corn, rice, tomato, carrots, and sunflower oil (all prefaced by “organic”, of course). These crunchy but water-soluble snacks are recommended for 9 months and up, though if you’re a baby led weaning lover, you know recommended months ain’t no thang. I remember watching Petra work on that pincer grip early on and these duck crackers would have been a fave!
Another Love Child Organics product made the Move N Soar swag bag: not just one but a quite a few of their famous organic purees. Often a first food, these purees of fruits and veggies (these ones were pears, carrots, green beans, and prunes) also boast quinoa for added riboflavin and protein. The best part about these little packs is the portability. Under two, kids may fly for free… but they sure don’t get meals included on the flight, so throwing a few of these in your bag is way easier than smuggling fruits and veggies across the border which are bound to bruise and squish anyway!
One more thing from Love Child Organics was a banana-date bar, but someone got into it right before I could photograph it. That'll teach me to take pictures in the kitchen.
I got Tupperware at my bridal shower and it made me cry tears of happiness. There's something about Tupperware that says, "I'm a grown up!" It lasts, it's pretty, and you can trust that the plastic isn't going to leach chemicals like some dollar store knock-off. Tupperware rep Chantelle Scott contributed this adorable penguin water bottle to the swag bag, which Petra will be putting to good use during next session's classes.
A biggie here is Cocyntal homeopathic baby colic cramp relief. Thankfully, Petra wasn't a colicky baby and didn't really have trouble with gas, but I sure was and some of my friends have gone through the fun that is colic and according to online reviews, Cocyntal outshines traditional Gripe Water. On well.ca, Cocyntal got a nearly perfect score alongside a ton of testimonials including one mama who wrote, "As a desperate mother with a fussy baby every single night I'm happy to have finally found something that works to calm him down." This pack has 15 individual 1mL doses so you can keep some in your diaper bag, give a couple to your mom for when she's looking after babe, and still have some on hand in the pantry.
I also got coupons GALORE. From one free Nerium Anti-Aging Night Creme worth $125 with purchase and an Ivivva headband to discounts at Smallprint (they custom-make adorable fingerprint keepsake necklaces), Bibbidi Bobbidi Boo, Arbonne, Bodacious Bustlines, Boiron (the makers of Cocyntal and other homeopathic baby medicines), and Mary Kay, there were lots of goodies. Petra had fun making them into a puzzle while she tried on the Move N Soar rubber charity bracelet.
And I think the thing that I'm most excited about is a free round of mini golf at Market Mall. Petra and I go look at the course's giant goldfish after every class and I think she's ready to see them from the other side of the green. Who knows, maybe she'll be the next Tiger Woods (except, you know, trustworthy and loyal).
Well, that was fun to unpack. I nearly (but not quite) understand that unboxing trend on YouTube where they just open Kinder surprises for like 45 minutes. Anyway, you can get your own swag bag and enjoy the fun first-hand because Move N Soar registration is now open for spring sessions running April 4-June 26. Spots are filling up quick, so head over to the site for class descriptions and times!
