I will admit. I know Saskatoon's best kept secret.
Its funny though because its not really a secret. Its been around for years and years…. and its still here. Are you ready for it? ….
Its the Mendel Art Gallery! You know the place… its the little old art gallery on spadina (not the big fancy one being built downtown). The Mendel has been around for as long as I can remember. I bet you haven't been in awhile??
The Mendel Art Gallery building will likely become Saskatoon's Children's Museum in 2017. Which I think is amazing. Its still so important we support the local business inside the Mendel…. The Living Sky Cafe has a delicious menu, its a great meeting spot with friends, baby friendly and has an amazing Americano for my mummy brain. The Conservatory is also still attached… which boasts some of the most amazing plants, trees, flowers and yes… air. Let me tell you at this time of year when everything is cold & dry, its the most amazing place to visit to hydrate your skin and soul. The days I visit with my little guy and we end up being the only ones there… its like wow…. I can't believe we're the only ones enjoying this illustrious place! Why aren't more people here?!
My little baby Garry & I would like to share our good times and visits to The Mendel and I hope you can see how amazing this place is. Come stop in for five minutes, grab a coffee, visit the conservatory…. You won't regret.
My little baby Garry suffers from eczema and the conservatory is great place for his dry skin. He also loves the light, high ceilings and plants. Its like our little mini hot holiday when we hang out… in fact we pretend we're on a beach…lol Clothes are optional. ;-0
Don't forget to check out The Living Sky Cafe for lunch or coffee/tea…or dessert. If you're looking for last minute Valentines Day plans… they are hosting a couples dinner & wine night. Love is in the air! I love this place!
