Welcome to our blog. We're ten girls documenting our adventures in #yxe. Hope you have a nice stay!

entrepreneur X stay at home momma

It's a magic life that so many of us now do. We have the best of both, SAHM and Working Woman. My friend Lisa is no different. She purchased a franchise she had learned about while living in Australia ~ called Small Print. She is self employed, makes her own hours, and is able to contribute to her family!

I sat down with Lisa and did a little interview... take a read if you please.

Tammy: tell me about your business, lisa...

Lisa: I first saw Smallprint when I became a new mom while living in Australia. My son was only 5 days old when I saw it at an outdoor market - I thought, "I have to have this!".  It was such a heart warming keepsake and I wanted to capture my baby's fingerprint in silver and wear it, too!  After talking to more moms I learned that Smallprint was a well known company & many of these moms were already wearing fingerprint jewellery.  In fact, I went on to learn that Smallprint has franchise owners in 23 countries around the world with over 40 franchise owners in Australia alone.  No wonder all of these moms knew what Smallprint was all about! We took the leap and bought the franchise in 2012.  It has now turned into my full time job. Smallprint has been a perfect fit for our family. You will find me on weekends at trade shows, at baby boutiques, or going to a customer's home to do a party.  I also turn our home into a studio once a week and take appointments. Being a Smallprint franchise owner has allowed me to be a stay home mom, work around my child's schedule, and make a great income.  I  truly love my job and get such pleasure from creating keepsake jewellery for others.

Lisa: There is much to choose from - necklaces, charm bracelets, cufflinks, keychains… I can custom stamp your child's handprint, footprint, art work, and signatures in silver

With mother's day coming up I thought it would be great to share my gift pick!
