Welcome to our blog. We're ten girls documenting our adventures in #yxe. Hope you have a nice stay!

Save your skin! My favourite body scrubs.

If you're anything like me, my skin HATES the bitter winter air. Therefore, I am in LOVE with body scrubs. I always have a growing collection in my bathroom, especially over the winter months. You can purchase (and make your own) scrubs, totally ranging in price point - and benefits to your skin.

With Valentines Day coming up this weekend, start off your beauty routine with silky smooth skin. Here are just a few of my favourite body scrubs, store bought & home made!

LUSH Sugar Scrub

Made with fair trade sugar, fennel, and ginger, this solid scrub is tough on bumps, dry patches, and unwanted cellulite. The sweetness of the sugar leaves your silky smooth, while the fennel and ginger stimulate circulation in the skin and wake up the senses. All LUSH products are Vegan, and free of all preservatives and chemicals, gotta love that. On the low end of the price range, you can pick this bar up in your local LUSH for under $7.00.

Bath & Body Works Orange Ginger Aromatherapy Scrub

Made with orange and ginger essential oils, this foaming body scrub is the perfect wake me up for your morning routine. Citrus with ginger combination of oils awaken your senses, and the foamy lather leaves you feeling clean deep in your pores, and your skin smoothly polished. This gentle scrub is great for daily use, and enhances mind, body & mood. Find this product in your local B&B Works for $13.00

Another fav from Bath & Body Works aromatherapy collection - and perfect for Valentines Day prepped skin, try their  Jasmine Vanilla Sugar Scrub from their sensuality collection. $16.00

Clinique Sparkle Skin

Recharge your skin with a buffed glow. This scrub is a gel bashed formula that whisks away dryness and leaves you feeling glowing. Perfect for all skin types, pick up this scrub at your Clinque counter, or available at Sephora. $29.00

SAJE Coconut Kiss Coffee Body Scrub

This scrub is close to being my all time favourite. Mainly because of how it leaves me feeling, but also because its made of my 2 absolutely favourite things: Coffee & Coconut. This scrub is the perfect rescue for dull dry skin. Made with coconut oil, almond, saffron, jojoba essential oils, your skin is left full of moisture and silky smooth. The caffeine in the coffee grounds battles cellulite and stretch marks, all while firming and revitalizing your skins natural tone and texture. The smell is amazing and the best way to start your morning. For best results, run your steamy shower, and before stepping in, give your whole body a good scrub letting the oils set into your skin. Rinse, then pat dry after your shower, the scrub will leave behind a delicious coconut oil layer of moisture. $14.95

Annnnnd, my top scrub of the winter:

Lalicious Whipped Sugar Coconut Scrub

This rich and decadent scrub is like a dessert for your body- without any guilt! Pure Sugar Cane crystals gently slough away dry skin cells to reveal a youthful and even skin tone. Cold-pressed Coconut and Sweet Almond Oils nourish and deeply moisturize, leaving skin deliciously soft. You're left with luminous skin from head to toe with this soothing souffl̩é of fresh coconut. After using this product you're left with all day softness and silky skin. Literally, can't get enough!!! $35.00
