Ooh as much as I love instagram it sure creates desire in me. Something I'd prefer to avoid unless it's for my husband. tmi, possibly, onto another topic.
Yesterday I set out to find me some skivvies, something similar to the ever popular boutique- for love and lemons. And hey! I found some at my two stores (*not really MY stores 'per say') but I feel like I've invested enough to be, like, a stock holder maybe??
but then I remembered that this post isn't really all about moi! No, it's not. It's about my people. And when I say my people, I am referring to all the women because I love women. I'm married to a man, just to clarify, but I am totally a girl's girl. And lots of girls have gotten into this thing called 'boudoir photography'. It's really exploded. We have photographers soley dedicated to it in our city, doing a killer job too. I dabble a bit from time to time and that is what brought on this post. With a bunch of girl friends doing a boudoir weekend with me I have been asked repeatedly where to get some goods for the shoot. Of course, there are the typical stores, but I've never been much for the 'typical'.
Here are some of my picks that go above and beyond the usual.
I love the idea of purchasing clothing rather than lingerie. Both are necessary, but crop tops and lacy pieces give a more raw element to the shoot. Both Tonic//Farminista and Luna & Hill had much to offer.
As a photographer in the biz, I'd love to see my girls in any of these lovely gems.
Happy shopping ladies!
