Hi.

Welcome to our blog. We're twelve girls documenting our adventures in #yxe. Hope you have a nice stay!

Put a lid on it

Milk and cookies are a perfect pair.  Choose a glass wide enough for dunking your cookies!

Summer always brings the entertainer out in me.  Perhaps it's the option of celebrating in the sunshine after such a long, cold winter, or the number of birthday parties and showers planned.  I just love party planning, and what I love most are the details.  That's why when I was scrolling through entertaining ideas, this quickly caught my eye.  The DIY addict in me wanted to give this simple serving idea a try, and my sweet tooth couldn't wait!  What I liked most about this is that it was easy, eye catching and worked well for serving a large group.  Less mess makes for an easier clean up.

An alternative is using vintage milk jars.  If you tried Desiree's Milk Jar Revamp, then you can simply peel the paper off to reuse.  If not, hurry into Michael's and grab a few.  Or, if you're a fan of Thrive Juice Co. like I am, you should have plenty of glass bottles on hand to reuse.

All you need is a glass of your choice, beverage, straw and treat to top it off!  Be creative and have fun with color and texture.

I chose to use almond milk, mini donuts and colorful sprinkles.  This would be a great alternative to birthday cake at a child's party - small bite size servings and less mess!  Plus they look great all lined up on the table.

My little helper couldn't wait for me to photograph the finished product.  The sprinkles were much too tempting.

Annnnd here's one more option.  I thought it was cute.  Well, I was really just craving a donut and put the two together.  But... is there a more classic combination than coffee and donuts?  Come on.  For a summer party, pair iced coffee and donuts.  Simply substitute milk for coffee for the minis in your life.
