A Washi Tape Holiday
Has anyone else had a hard time getting into the Christmas spirit this year? I feel like it's still so far away, but in reality it's in 3 days!! (Eep, so much to do!) I figured some crafting would get me in the mood.
I was walking around target a couple of months ago and came across a rack of Washi tape in all different patterns and colors. (This stuff is all the rage amongst crafters) I saw these 4 rolls that were screaming out for me to buy them as they were in my favorite color scheme. I didn't know what I would do with them at the time, but I knew they would come in handy sometime soon. All of this was inspired by those four little rolls of tape that had been sitting by my computer just waiting to be used.
Supplies: Washi tape, boxes and craft paper for wrapping, twine, stamps (michaels and target bargain bins), gift tags, blank cards, and the usual crafting suspects: scissors, tape, glue
I started out by making a simple gift tag. Washi tape flags are too cute and so easy to make!
Next I cut out a tree stencil, laid some layers of Washi tape on card stock and then used the stencil to cut the shape out. Then I used these adorable alphabet stamps found in the target bargain bin for 3$ to spell out "Merry Christmas". It was pretty hard to line up the letters one by one, I'll need some more practice, still cute in a quirky way.
I really do love everything with the flags!
I used the same stencil technique to cut out these ornaments and string them on.

which is your favorite? Are you going to run out and buy some Washi tape?
