Welcome to our blog. We're ten girls documenting our adventures in #yxe. Hope you have a nice stay!

Christmas is only 10 days away, and maybe you're still looking for the perfect gift for someone special. I am all about shopping local as much as possible, and here is one Saskatoon line I am just infatuated with.

Artist & Designer Alissa Ramage brings Saskatoon her beautiful and unique jewellery line - Oneiro Designs.

Find her on Facebook

Oneiro - {pronounced OH-NAIR-OH} - comes from the word "Oneirology" which means the study of dreams. For as long as she can remember, Alissa has been passionate about creating art and sharing her love of design. She created her first dream catcher at the age of 8, and since that day she has always never stopped believing in their powers and admiring their beauty.  Oneiro Designs specializes in handcrafted contemporary dream catchers, made from found objects, reclaimed materials, vintage lace and chain, and as Alissa puts into her all her creations - a whole lot of love! Aside from dreamcatchers, Oneiro's stunning jewellery are must have  statement pieces. Her collections are made from chain, crystal, and quartz - each stone with its own meaning & energy, adding a special element to each piece.

This fall I had the opportunity to meet Alissa and photograph her winter 2014 collection - Smoke Signals. Some of this cookbook was inspired by Tarot cards, and colour schemes that were rich jewel tones with mixed metals. Her style meshed so well with mine, and I can honestly say I want (and NEED) every piece from this collection. From head chains, body chains, necklaces, bracelets, rings, earring, Oneiro has a stand out piece for every part of the body you may want to wear jewellery. We had a beautiful October afternoon to shoot at a local Saskatchewan crystal farm. Stunning Saskatoon model Michaella Shannon was the perfect canvas to showcase Smoke Signals. Makeup by local beauty boutique, Le Lash.

Here are a few of my favourite pieces - any of which would make an amazing gift this holiday season! I know someone special on my list is getting some this year!
