I'm a firm believer that women need shoes. We just do. We need shoes just to have shoes because there is no other good reason in the world that makes us go gaga. Well wait on that a second...I'm sure your first born, your wedding day, your first kiss made you go gaga…. but shoes are right up there too. lol
We have outfits that need certain shoes, we have shoes that are for comfort, fashion reasons and those shoes you can really only wear for sitting down.
Case in point: The pointy toed shoe.
Now I really love a good stiletto shoe…but my feet can't take them… therefore, I wear these types of shoes when I know I'll be sitting down lots…. NOT walking the Vegas strip. And yes, I did attempt to walk the vegas strip in stiletto's and regretted the decision for 5 days after.
Enough flip flops you say? Well when they are $4 per pop… why wouldn't you have 1800 pairs of them. I heart my flip flops.
A bit of a splurge item. I HAD to have them. Cougar boots are warm, rugged and they look fabulous with jeans. Im looking forward to the first snowfall actually. ;-)
Oh Mary Jane. You are classic and everyone needs a pair of you. These are Nine West and I love all shoes by Nine West. They just work. These are actually super comfortable.
Yes.. I bought a used pair of Sonic shoes. A Value Village purchase. Do I wear them? Not really…but they are hilariously awesome.
So I like to organize my summer shoes when putting them into winter storage. Wedges, flats, dress shoes. Etc etc etc. Natasha Solvason from Home Free Organizing Solutions would be so proud of me.
My main shoe closet usually consists of the staples I use all year around… runners, closed toed heals, booties etc.
Oh and then there are the days when you walk into Winners and find your soulmate in your size at a decent price. Hello gorgeous.
I love Hunter Boots. I have a few pairs and they work awesome for my lifestyle. I always keep a pair in the car because I never know when I'll be walking in mud and wet. No need to polish these puppies… I like them to show their true colours.
Cowgirl boots? Who doesn't have a pair? They usually come out of the closet for summer & fall, maybe at Halloween or perhaps at an event where the dress code is western wear.
And then there is the onnnnne pair of shoes you wish could live forever. They have been with you in good times and more good times. They were your summer stylish pair you knew you could always wear for long distances, parties and even on the beach. They were the pair that walked you around hot destinations and worked with many outfits. They are your staple pair. Getting rid of them makes you sad, but they make you look like you can't afford new shoes, but really you just love them so much you can't bare to see them go. Maybe I'll keep these ones in the vault like a good Disney movie.
Now you've walked a mile in my shoes and you probably don't feel bad at all that you love shoes just as much as I do.
Much shoe love,
